David Ashworth is a guitarist based in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. His music draws its influence from the folk musics of Europe and America, and the more adventurous jazz and popular music of our time. He uses simple electronic procedures to layer and complement the sounds of a ‘raw’ acoustic guitar. This helps produce music contrasting the elegant simplicity of an unadorned melody with the rich texture of densely compex improvisations.
